Kathendi Berake (pronounced: kuh-THEN-dee)<ref>2001/11 Dark Majesty - Bestiary: Pronunciation</ref> was an Empyrean woman and Lady of the Adjanite Order.

She was the author of the inscription on Idhare Kelderam's tomb, which reads:

Here lieth our sweet Lady, Idhare Kelderam, a child of Knorr. She sleeps in light now, yet still guards her ward loyally.<ref>2000/11 Should the Stars Fall - Kelderam's Tomb inscription</ref>

In HE 347, the Nali, Valind decreed that the Sisters of Ithaenc were heretics, and launched crusade against them.<ref name="AerlintheRecord">2000/07 To Raise a Banner of Flame - Aerlinthe Record</ref><ref name=HistoryOfAubereanVol3>2003/03 The History of Auberean: Volume III: The Fall From Grace (-1,804 to -891)</ref> The Sisters were slaughtered, some being put to the sword while others were burned at the stake.<ref name=HistoryOfAubereanVol3 /> Lady Kathendi is presumed to be among these dead, as Anadil's Campaign Journal states:

Across the falls, I sat in the place where Lady Kathendi was put to the stake. No grass grows there. It was rumored among the Yalain that if one sat still for long enough in that place, the Lady could yet be heard upon her pyre. I did not hear her; perhaps a legend after all.<ref name="CampaignJournal"> 2000/11 Should the Stars Fall - Campaign Journal</ref>

If you visit that location (at 81.1S, 94.1E) and wait for 5 minutes, you will hear the following:

You feel a strange presence about you. A voice in your mind says, "Remember me Ithaenc," and the memory of flames burns you for X points of damage.
