:::Your example is correct. You can choose to put a footer inside the left column, or have it outside, and after both column containers to have it stretch all the way across the bottom of the main page (that seems to be the preferred approach on most wikis). Home update

Hey Sitb, I saw that you made an edit to the home page with the comment of: "Moving content into column containers (ToU-related)"

Could you let me know what ToU is and what this change was for?

Thanks

Hi there!
I made that adjustment to bring the wiki in line with Fandom's Terms of Use, which includes a statement that users should not:
"block, remove, or otherwise obstruct the proper functioning and view of advertisements, and/or user interface and functionality"
Since many of Fandom's advertisements only function properly within the two-column layout, each wiki's main page must have its content placed within those left and right column containers (footers are exempt). I understand this probably isn't widespread knowledge, and was probably done unintentionally on this wiki, so no harm done.
Advertisements should be unhindered now, after my adjustments, but you folks are welcome to continue formatting/costomizing the wiki's main page however you see fit, within that two-column format.🙂

Thanks for the info. I'm working on a redesign of the home page now. Can you confirm this is how the page should be formatted? Does footer content simply reside outside of the mainpage column? Or is it contained in another element?
<mainpage-leftcolumn-start />
Left Content
<mainpage-endcolumn />
<mainpage-rightcolumn-start />
Right Content
<mainpage-endcolumn />
Footer Content
